Prague - NYC Effects

What are the differences between Czech and American humor? You will discover this through three styles of stand up comedy from ironic storytelling, clown humuor, and improvisational stand up.

Mcknezie Tomski, Eastern European immigrant living in New York, will discuss societal problems and cultural differences which still surprise her to this day. The concept comes from the up-coming book Miss AmeriKa and the same name one-women show, by co-authors Miřenka Čechová and Marie Tomanová. Robert Janč uses stand up as the motif for his clown solo performance. His clown has to substitute a star comic, who is late. He tries his best to fulfill the comedic expectation of the audience, until the comedy star everyone signed up to see shows up. Experienced American comic Quentin Heggs, who is going to perform in Prague, will talk about his expectations of the Czech culture.
